NO! The designer’s mother is! The company is named after the inspiration for our first pieces. Everything on the website is handcrafted by the designer herself here in the good old USA and her first designs were created for her mother, the Jewel of Havana!
Ana Maria Andricain discovered her passion for creating jewelry while appearing in the Broadway Company of Beauty and the Beast. Ms. Andricain spent her time backstage creating new designs for her budding business. “I had several breaks during the show and loved to run back to my dressing room and come up with new design ideas. Most of my pieces were made right in the dressing room”. She was commissioned to create jewelry for several Broadway opening nights and the Tony Awards and the business grew from there.
Ms. Andricain is a veteran of Broadway shows including South Pacific, Marie Christine, By Jeeves, Les Miserables, Beauty and the Beast and Evita. She is a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, a resident of New York City and is the wife of Producer, Philip J. Mann, mother of Sidney the Teacup Maltese and proud daughter of Cuban refugees, Hugo and Zoila Andricain.
New York and Baton Rouge handcrafted jewelry designer, Ana Maria Andricain is a PMC Certified artist, a member of the National PMC Gulid and L'esprit du Metal, Louisiana Chapter of the PMC Guild.
Yes! Most pieces on our site can be altered for color and/or materials. Just contact us with your request and we will send you a quote for the finished product. You can also send an inspiration photo of a piece you would like and we will recreate it especially for you. Prices will vary depending on the chosen materials and availability of supplies. ABSOLUTELY! Your address and credit card information is sent to us encrypted through a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) connection- the technical backbone of secure electronic commerce. We will NEVER release your personal information to ANYONE.
Sales tax is charged to those residing in New York and Louisiana only.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO SHIP MY ORDER?
Every piece on our website is handcrafted by the designer herself. We try to keep great inventory and lots and lots on hand, but some pieces get so popular they may be out of stock when the order is placed. In stock items usually ship within 48 hours. Every effort is made to fill orders of out of stock items as quickly as possible. We will let you know of any wait but please allow 4 to 6 weeks for out of stock or custom orders. We use the United States Post Office Priority Mail for all items and shipping will be figured at checkout. We charge the actual shipping price plus insurance. All pieces MUST be insured so that we may be sure of its safe arrival.
