IS YOUR JEWELRY FROM HAVANA?
NO! My mother is! The company is named after the inspiration for my first pieces. Everything on the website is handcrafted in my Baton Rouge Studio here in the good old USA and my first designs were created for my mother, the Jewel of Havana! WHAT IS METAL CLAY?
Metal Clay is composed of microscopic particles of metal such as silver, bronze, copper or gold suspended in an organic binder creating a pliable material with a consistency similar to modeling clay. The clay can be worked with the fingers or simple tools to create a vast range of forms and surfaces that would be unattainable or laborious with traditional techniques. After the finished piece has dried, the object is fired in a kiln & the binder burns away, leaving the pure, sintered metal.
Each piece is truly one-of-a-kind as they are all hand carved or embellished by hand. Natural leaves are used to make impressions in the pieces or to serve as the base for decorative accent leaf clasps. The pieces are hand stamped, tumbled for smoothness and polished for shine then embellished with freshwater pearls or semi-precious gemstones.

You can also send an inspiration photo of a piece you would like to help in the design process. Prices will vary depending on the chosen materials and availability of supplies. HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO SHIP MY ORDER?
Every piece on the website is handcrafted in my studio. I try to keep great inventory, but some pieces get so popular they may be out of stock when the order is placed. In stock items usually ship within 48 hours. Every effort is made to fill orders of out of stock items as quickly as possible. I will let you know of any wait but please allow 4 to 6 weeks for out of stock or custom orders.

HOW MUCH IS SHIPPING?
I use the United States Postal Service for all items with a flat rate of $8.85. This includes tracking and applicable insurance. All pieces must be insured so that we may be sure of its safe arrival. Express shipping is also available for $26.90.

Customer Service is my top priority and you are important to me! My goal is for you to be fully satisfied with your purchases. If for some reason you feel your purchase does not meet your expectations, please contact me so I can assist you with a solution. Contact Customer Service at 225-442-8985 or by using the Contact Us form to receive a Return Authorization number prior to returning the item. Shipments without this number will not be accepted.

Slight irregularities and variations in silversmith work or in natural stone colors and inclusions are characteristic of the uniqueness and individual hand craftsmanship of the product and should not be considered as defective.

- Within seven (7) days - Non-custom pieces can be sent back for a credit card refund, minus the shipping charge or a credit towards another purchase may be applied.
- After seven (7) days returned merchandise will only be replaced with the same item. If the item is not available, the Customer may choose another item of equal value. If an item of greater value is selected, the retail difference and applicable sales tax are required. The guarantee does not cover normal wear and tear. Shipping charges are non-refundable.
- Within thirty (30) days of purchase, an item may be returned for replacement or repair due to a manufacturer’s defect with accompanying original sales receipt or copy of email order confirmation.
- Custom pieces – meaning pieces in a special size, with any sort of alterations or special ordered pieces are non-returnable and all sales are final.
- **Please note: In person purchases are non refundable. This policy was put in place to protect website customers who are unable to see the jewelry before purchase. In person purchases will follow the above time line for exchanges only.
