Maligano jasper is a rare stone recently discovered in the small village of Sulawesi, Indonesia. It has contrasting hues of soft blues, greys, yellow, orange and beige with brecciated patterns, veins of agate that fill the cavities and dendrites. This is what gives it the fun “scenes” of mountains, rivers, tiny bushes, flowers, oceans or babbling brooks. The story is in the eye of the beholder.
